If you have a bad HDD in your Synology box you will probably get an error like this
It could be that a SMART Test didn’t finish correctly so it might be worthwhile to run an extended SMART test. Lets say it is a faulty HDD, power off your Synology and take out the faulty HDD and put a new one in and power it on.
Head to your storage manager Start button > Storage Manager
Click Manage Volume
Select repair and click next
Select the new disk check box and click next and confirm this is what you want to do
Once your volume has repaired itself you will see this
Now confirm everything in HDD Management
